Why Clark

Why now, why Clark?

Clark is no longer “the alternative to Cebu.” It is emerging as a Global Education Hub where the whole world gathers.

Unbeatable access

Clark sits beside Clark International Airport, next to Manila — the country's main gateway. Most schools are a 30-minute drive from landing, so wherever you fly in from, arrival is easy.

Freeport-zone safety

The former U.S. air base is now the Clark Freeport Zone — one of the safest, best-managed special zones in the Philippines.

A campus for the world

Students from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Middle East and beyond study side by side — English becomes a true common language.

Study and life in balance

Golf, water parks, Pinatubo trekking and more make weekends feel like a resort stay, not just a study trip.

Complete infrastructure

Large malls like SM Clark and Marquee, general hospitals and international schools are all within easy reach.

Beyond Study Abroad

Clark is not a city you only study in

Weekdays you focus. Weekends you get a volcano crater lake, the country's food capital, championship golf and an Olympic-grade sports hub — all inside a short drive.

NATURE

Mount Pinatubo crater lake

The 1991 eruption left a turquoise caldera lake. A 4WD run across the lahar canyons, then a walk up to the rim — a weekend you can only have from here.

FOOD

The country's culinary capital

Pampanga is widely called the culinary capital of the Philippines, and sisig was born next door in Angeles City. A new plate every weekend.

SPORT

Golf, minutes away

The Vista Country Club sits about 15 minutes from Clark International Airport with 27 holes, and Mimosa, Korea CC and Luisita are all within the same radius. Some students choose Clark precisely so they can play through the term.

LEISURE

Water parks and resorts

Aqua Planet spreads over ten hectares with more than 38 slides, and resort-style parks like Fontana and Clearwater are close by.

SPORT

New Clark City sports hub

Host of the 2019 SEA Games. Its athletics stadium was the first in the Philippines to earn World Athletics Class 1A certification, beside an Olympic-size pool.

FESTIVAL

Hot air balloon festival

Every February the sky over New Clark City fills with special-shaped balloons, aerobatics and a drone show — a weekend of everything that flies.

SHOPPING

Duty-free and the malls

Clark is a freeport, so duty-free shopping sits inside your daily radius, along with malls like SM City Clark.

CULTURE

Spanish colonial heritage

The 19th-century Holy Rosary Parish church, the Clark Museum and Nayong Pilipino put the region's history within walking distance.

EVERYDAY

The local rhythm

Jeepneys on the street, Korean restaurants in Koreatown, wet markets on a Saturday. The English you use outside class is the English that sticks.
